DEMENTIA GOD HAS A CURE

This story really touches my heart. Despite this daughter's handwork with her dementia mother, she stood by her side.  She is full of compassion toward her mom and I know there is a crown awaiting her in heaven. She could have abandon her as other children did, but she did not; hold on in there moving her mom in different facility in order for her to receive good care. In addition, there is no cure or medication for dementia. Nonetheless are using anti psychotic medications. to control dementia when it only makes the patient worst. For example, it keeps them awake, makes them more combative, restless, give pain and suffering, etc dementia patient suffers a lot because of their memory loss. Even though they are abused by staff, they cannot tell you. To me that makes matters worse. Again, this story encourages me to love everyone, those with dementia and those without. Sickness do not discriminate. No one know that the future holds for he or she. Even though her mother's sickness wares her out, she stood with her always the way. May God bless her...if she is still alive. If not may God gives her a crown in glory.

DEMENTIA AWARENESS

                                                      DEMENTIA AWARENESS

Having love one with dementia, please do not abandon he or her. Show compassion, empathy, respect and be patient with them. It is a lot of work, but take into consideration, it could be you. Dementia do not discriminate, anyone can have it rich or poor. God bless and keep those of you who are taking care of a family who has dementia. Your reward is with the Lord.

Tips to help prevent agitation

To prevent or reduce agitation:
  • Create a calm environment.
Remove stressors. This may involve moving the person to a safer or quieter place, or offering a security object, rest or privacy. Try soothing rituals and limiting caffeine use.
  • Avoid environmental triggers.
Noise, glare and background distraction (such as having the television on) can act as triggers.
  • Monitor personal comfort.
Check for pain, hunger, thirst, constipation, full bladder, fatigue, infections and skin irritation. Make sure the room is at a comfortable temperature. Be sensitive to fears, misperceived threats and frustration with expressing what is wanted.
  • Simplify tasks and routines.
  • Provide an opportunity for exercise.
Go for a walk. Garden together. Put on music and dance.

Medical evaluation for contributing factors

Everyone who develops behavior changes should receive a thorough medical evaluation, especially if symptoms appear suddenly.
Even though the chief cause of behavioral symptoms is the effect of Alzheimer's disease on the brain, an examination may reveal other treatable conditions that are contributing to the behavior.
Contributing conditions may include:
Difficulty with communication
Because people with Alzheimer's gradually lose the ability to communicate, it's important to regularly monitor their comfort and anticipate their needs.

Learn more: Communication Tips
  • Drug side effects. Many people with Alzheimer's take prescription medications for other health issues. Drug side effects or interactions among drugs can affect behavior.
  • Discomfort from infections or other conditions. As the disease gets worse, those with Alzheimer's have increasing difficulty communicating with others about their experience. As a result, they may be unable to report symptoms of common illnesses. Pain from infections of the urinary tract, ear or sinuses may lead to restlessness or agitation. Discomfort from a full bladder, constipation, or feeling too hot or too cold also may be expressed through behavior.
  • Uncorrected problems with hearing or vision. These can contribute to confusion and frustration and foster a sense of isolation.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHAT TRIGGERS OFF YOUR LOVE ONE WHO HAS DEMENTIA.

DEAR GOD HELP ME TO BE PATIENT WITH THE THINGS THAT I CANNOT CHANGE, AND CONTINUE TO BELIEVE THAT ONE DAY YOU WILL CHANGE MY PATIENCE INTO JOY. GIVE ME THE COURAGE AND STRENGTH TO WAIT, DESPITE OF MY NEEDS.

Isaiah 40:31King James Version (KJV)

" But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

GOD NEVER FAILS HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME.

Psalm 27:14King James Version (KJV)

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear , and shall trust in the LORD. 4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. 5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done , and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered . 6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire ; mine ( Psalms 40: 1-6).

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass . 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil .( Psalm 37: 7-8).

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT EVILDOERS

I would like to encourage you this morning, not to worry about wicked people that are fighting against you. The Lord has your back and he will take care of them. King David wrote,
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.  Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.( Psalms 37: 1-9).
Do not give your enemy dominion over you when you are facing problems. Live for God and watch him work for you. Evil is only for a moment, but those that trust in the Lord patiently always be the over comers. Do not get angry with your enemy, feed them, pray for them and leave the rest in the hands of God. Love you, and God bless you!

(MATT. 25: 5) WHILE THE BRIDEGROOM WAS DELAYED THEY ALL SLUMBERED AND SLEPT, AND AT MIDNIGHT, A CRY WAS HEARD.

IN ADDITION, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR SALVATION IS SURE.
